Three Little Birds Music LLC was founded
by best friends Katia Asthalter and
Carina Zimmerman. Katia and Carina moved to New York City in 2004 after graduating from college and began to work within the children's music world on the Upper East Side. Carina, who grew up playing the piano and violin, immediately fell in love with teaching music to young children. Katia, who grew up singing opera, began to work as a manager of a children's music studio and also realized the immense benefits of early childhood music education.
Katia and Carina decided to team up in 2008 to create Three Little Birds Music. The founding idea behind Three Little Birds Music was to establish a music studio in which children and parents could learn together through creative, imaginative play. We hope to instill a love of music in all of our students and strongly believe that music can serve as a communicative medium, developmental tool, and constant companion.
